Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our treatments, wellness programs, procedures, and client experience.
What is peptide therapy?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body. Certain peptide-based medications may be used for specific medical purposes. At Renovatti Wellness, any medication is considered only after an individualized evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider. Results vary, and treatment is not appropriate for everyone
Are all peptides FDA-approved?
No. Some peptide-based medications are FDA-approved for specific conditions, while others are not. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and do not undergo the FDA’s premarket review for safety, effectiveness, or quality. When discussing a treatment, your provider will explain its approval status, intended use, potential benefits, alternatives, and risks
Will I automatically receive a prescription?
No. Completing an intake form, laboratory testing, or a consultation does not guarantee a prescription. A licensed healthcare provider will review your medical history, current medications, health goals, laboratory results, and clinical eligibility before recommending treatment.
Is bloodwork required?
Bloodwork may be required depending on the program, medication being considered, medical history, and provider’s clinical judgment. Your provider will tell you which tests are necessary before treatment begins or during follow-up care.
Can I submit recent laboratory results?
Yes. Recent laboratory results may be uploaded securely for review. They must be legible and include your name, collection date, test results, reference ranges, and laboratory information. Your provider will determine whether the results are sufficiently recent and complete or whether additional testing is required.
Where will my blood be drawn?
When laboratory testing is required, patients will receive instructions for visiting an approved local laboratory or arranging another available collection option. Please confirm the participating laboratory network before this answer is published.
Do you accept insurance?
Renovatti Wellness is currently designed as a self-pay wellness service. We can provide appropriate documentation upon request, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement from an insurance company. Laboratory tests and prescriptions may have separate costs. Please confirm whether Renovatti will bill any insurance plans directly.
Can I use an HSA or FSA?
Eligible medical consultations, laboratory tests, and prescribed treatments may qualify for payment with HSA or FSA funds. Eligibility depends on the patient’s plan and applicable rules, so patients should confirm coverage with their plan administrator. Renovatti Wellness cannot guarantee reimbursement.
What happens during an EMS session?
During an electrical muscle stimulation session, electrodes deliver controlled electrical impulses that cause targeted muscles to contract while the participant performs guided movements. A trained team member adjusts the intensity based on comfort, experience, and program goals. Sessions include screening, equipment setup, supervised exercise, and a short recovery period.
Does EMS hurt?
EMS should not be painful. Most participants describe a tingling, pulsing, or strong muscle-contraction sensation. The intensity can be adjusted throughout the session. Patients should immediately report pain, burning, dizziness, shortness of breath, or unusual discomfort.
Who should not participate in EMS?
EMS may not be appropriate for individuals with implanted electronic devices, certain heart conditions, seizure disorders, blood-clotting concerns, active infections or open wounds in the treatment area, or other significant medical conditions. Pregnant individuals should not participate unless the device’s labeling and their healthcare provider specifically permit it. Every participant must complete a safety screening, and medical clearance may be required.
Can I combine EMS with medical weight management?
Potentially. EMS may complement a provider-directed weight-management program by supporting muscle engagement and physical conditioning, but it does not replace nutrition, regular physical activity, or medical care. The clinical and EMS teams must first determine whether combining the services is safe and appropriate.
How often will my progress be reviewed?
Progress is reviewed throughout treatment, with formal clinical follow-ups generally scheduled every four to six weeks during active medical weight management. The exact schedule depends on the treatment plan, medication, laboratory requirements, response, and any side effects. Patients should contact the clinical team sooner if they experience concerning symptoms.
How do telehealth appointments work?
After completing the required forms, the patient receives a secure appointment link. During the visit, a licensed healthcare provider reviews the patient’s medical history, health goals, medications, laboratory results, and treatment options. The patient must be physically located in a state where the provider is authorized to practice at the time of the appointment. A prescription is issued only when the provider determines that it is medically appropriate.
How is patient health information protected?
Patient information is handled through secure systems and in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements. Access is limited to authorized personnel involved in care and operations. Telehealth technology, electronic records, laboratory information, and patient communications should be maintained through appropriately secured vendors and agreements. Patients should use a private location, a trusted device, and a secure internet connection during telehealth appointments.
